Feedback Xreal Air 2 Ultra and Beam Pro

Hi,
I got my Xreal Air 2 Ultra and Beam Pro a couple of weeks ago and I am loving it. Best combination so far. Well done. It is amazing for Youtube and Netflix and such. The picture is crisp and sharp.

Beam Pro for Productivity is not as good as hoped as it is very laggy and only in Tablet Mode when connected to a computer. Also the latency is not good. Unfortunately the second usb does not allow for usb tethering which could solve the problems as well a switch to desktop mode like on the App on my Samsung S24 Ultra would be great. But for everything else Beam Pro in combination with the Xreal Air 2 Ultra with the spatial anchor is awesome.

Android App on Samsung S24 Ultra could be more crisp, I hope the next update will solve the issue.

Nebula App for Mac got better as it stays in its place, but it is still wobbely and shaky. And what I still do not get at all is: In you advertising you always promote 3 flat monitors but the App has only curved monitors. For productivity as a webdesigner I need flat monitors and not curved ones. I hope this will be fixed soon. For productivity I still use the Viture Pro because the displays are much more stable even without live tracking.

Nebula for windows is much more stable but is also curved and has no livetracking yet. Also it seems like there is a keyboard recognition problem as it is problematic to use my laptop keyboard but when I use an external one it seems fine again.

Final thoughts
Xreal Air 2 Ultra and Beam Pro is amazing to watch content, I sold my TV as there is no use for it anymore.
Nebula for Mac and Windows. 99% of humanity is working with flat screens. If you get the shaky issue, flat screens, better resolution, live tracking and 120hz then the entire world will buy your glasses.
Beam Pro: It is a great product and its by far better then the original beam but it is not pro enough. If you make a Beam with more power, more ram and a better chip, so you actually would be able to use this device for PROductivity I am sure everybody would be happy to pay even a 1000 bugs for it as the world could be my office and I could work from everywhere.

I tested on:
Macbook Air 13 (2024)
Razor Gaming Laptop (2024)
Samsung S24 Ultra (2024)
All devices having the highest possible specs money can get you

Thank you for your thorough feedback and for sharing your experience with the Xreal Air 2 Ultra and Beam Pro. I’m glad to hear that you’re enjoying the combination for content consumption.

This forum is primarily focused on developer-related issues, so for feedback regarding product experience, I recommend posting on Reddit. Our product managers regularly review posts there, and it’s a great place to share your thoughts and suggestions. Your insights are valuable, and I’m sure they’ll be considered in future updates.

Bought the same combination. For me this is not recommended, product is full of bugs and not completed.

No VR Videos, no good to work as external monitor for windows. For Mac monitor move while moving the face, annoying .

No YouTube VR.

Is not competed product. Sorry never again.

Air 2 Ultra is for Developers mainly at the moment. It is AR and not VR. For VR experiences I can recommend a Meta Quest 3. But even if you have a Quest 3, nobody on the entire planet can recommend Youtube VR as it has always bad latency and bad quality. If you want to use it for productivity, then nebula on windows works for me better than on mac but you need to adjust quite a lot to make it work nicely. What works for me quite nice is to use Moonlight and Sunshine for a remote desktop experience. So I use my Beam Pro with Moonlight and my windows laptop with Sunshine as Server and that works very well for me for productivity and gaming. For now Xreal Air 2 Ultra with beam pro is the only ar experience out there with a spatial anchor mode which is amazing. Still you also have to consider that the overall ar experience is quite new and therefore not perfect yet, but compared to Viture, Ray Ban neo, Rokid and all others, Xreal is by far ahead of the game. Give the whole technology a couple more years and all bugs will be gone. AR, VR, XR are all at the beginning of becoming perfect and that is why there still some bugs. I also owe a Apple Vision Pro and I can tell you there are plenty of bugs and it costs 5x as much.
