6DoF Computation on Glasses - Host Device independence for OpenXR

From what I understand Nreal Light is locked to specific hardware because 6DoF computation is only possible with specific Qualcomm based phones i.e. 6DoF is computed externally.
I believe the new AR2 chip is locked to select few phones in a similar way.

This looks to be the main bottleneck for OpenXR on Windows/MacOS.
It would not make sense for me to purchase next gen Nreal glasses if 6DoF is calculated externally using a tightly locked hardware platform.

Are there any chips available to Nreal that can compute 6DoF internally on glasses at low heat?
Mediatek or others?
