So the device does work im on android 14 can i get some help please what else shall i do

It sounds like there’s an incompatibility between your version of OneUI and Light. We’ve encountered similar black screen issues with the Light glasses on the S23 before, and the symptoms are quite similar to what you’re experiencing. Unfortunately, aside from rolling back your phone’s system version, I’m afraid I don’t have a better solution at the moment. I’m sorry for the inconvenience.

Will it be fixed as i dont mind waiting for an update as i havent started development yet?

What version shall i roll back to?

Or what phone is guarenteed to work

Samsung S22 with Qualcomm chipset

Unfortunately, this issue cannot be fixed on our end, as we have no control over phone compatibility.

I went with the original oppo x5 its running android 14 im charging it i have 48 hrs to @dorix I went with oppo x5 pro return it i hope this works :muscle:

Can confirm oppo x5 pro doesnt work with android 14. Ive returned 2 phones now and had to pY 50 quid extra for the oppo which is now in a voucher i have 6 days to use which is rubbish niether the s21 samsung nor the oppo worked it said s22 but the compaitbility list says it isnt supported it looks like ive just spent 300 quid ontop of what i paid for the glasses to find out your compatibility list is bad too come on xreal get with 8t man people aint gonna downgrade their phones to use the software currently happy with dorix but not happy with xreal compatibility list i thought cool s21 no no s21 then i thought cool oppo x5 pro it was the release machine and again on android 14 nope no nothing so ive settled for a s21 fe single sim g990b lets hope this downgrades you cost me 55 extra quid which i have to spend in that shop now nice one xreal im well happy …

Have no idea which compatibility list you’re referring…

Yeah cheers another piece of useless garbage how are you supposed to know which chip is in which phone i dont trust your company anymore and posting this is absolutely ridiculous this is a great help when buying a phone hello does it have a snap dragon whatever in it like that is obvious when you buy the phone they generally sell devices based on the specific processor revision not tell me this does your supposed xreal beam pro work with light because im telling you this im spending upto 500 pounds more to find a working phone and if they wont let me check what os it is on then i wont ve buying it and if i get stupid feedback again ill ditch the nreal light call it a 780 quid loss and make a video slating the hell out of your company and telling people why not to buy into xreal you are rapidly losing a budding developer working with 4d volumetric capture you muppets and countless others who can see my posts sort out the supported phones not the supported chips get the software supporting the originally supported devices again or i drop xreal development all together and switch to uk based zapbox which i am wishing i had spent the money on an m1 used mac and a zapbox to use with my iphone 14 pro which also isnt supported tell me this xreal wtf do you support and will you continue to support after you dropping of the light dev kit i dont much fancy spending 200 quid on a budget mobile processor xreal beam quickly becoming a no support xreal type developer with stupid replys like this one i have tried multiple supprted devices that aint supported tell me which phone definetely works regardless of operating system or i destroy your company and your new glasses on line as it stands would i buy xreal again hell no i wouldnt and id advise others dont their support is s**t

The compaitibility list in your documentation

Hi dorix i didnt get the s22 i wanted because of issues regarding my identification i have tried to get an s22 on contract but everyone i have spoken to is selling the exynos chipset meani g ill have to buy a used phone blind im going to try and find a compatible device and risk losing another 300+ pounds thanks to your companys total lack of useful information all the supposedly current supported phones are no longer on sale new can you please give me a working devices list that is current as im not willing to spend another 300 pounds on a used phone that i dont need i already have an s21 i dont need thank you for engaging with me but trying to find the qualcom chipset in a used phone is going to be tough and then it has the potential to be running android 14 due to operating system updates all i would like to say is i am extremely frustrated with xreal and im now considering whether to put the lights away until you fix the supposedly supported devices as i dont wish to waste a grand and find out i have 2 phones and a nintendo ds i dont want because i cant get my money back if i buy used only a voucher to use in their store thank you for engaging me but im going to try and find a supported device next payday but if i ca t find one on android 13 and they have all been updated to android 14 then it looks like you have lost a volumetric specialist developer because of how lacking in information you are all i can say is buying into xreal has been nothing but an absolute nightmare from the start the pretty useless help i recieved about which devices are currently working with all features and i cant find any please dorix one last attempt at getting some useful information out of you guys i know the s22 works but it is an absolute nightmare trying to differentiate between chipsets and the second hand shops aint gonna know or care what chipset is in the device can you telle which other devices you currently have working with all features of the light running properly your answer to this question determines if i turn my back on xreal after this flipping nightmare trying to find a supported phone i am not happy with xreal at all your information on which devices work is terrible as is the support the company offers as a developer you should be bending backwards to helpe get the information i need but instead because of your companys disregard of the developers needed to grow your ecosystem you are one answer away from losing a volumetric pioneer developer purely because you have been absolutely no help.whatsoever in helping me get the information needed to purchase the right device i wont be buying any xreal products again after this nightmare i will try once more to find the correct phone on the correct operating system failing that you have just lost a developer before he even got into the device due to your rubbish support and worse information as to which current devices support xreal light i was really excited about replacing my magic leap one but this just like my soon to be bricked magic leap headset is saying to me to just go with zapbox and buy an m1 mac mini to develop for the zapbox as this situation is a nightmare
