Solved my own issue, it is quite fast (moments). The issue I was facing was a permissions issue for MacOS.

Specifically, in the path of the project TestProject/Assets/NRSDK/Editor/CLI/MarkerGenerator the executable trackableImageTools_osx gets blocked by Apple’s security feature for verified/signed apps, showing the following message:
