I’m a unity game dev and I have a deaf grandmother that could not learn sign language but is able to speak perfectly. I believe that with this kind of technology, light and with a friendly interface, we could “subtitle” life itself for all deaf people. I understand the current inconvenience with voice to text software. Nevertheless, giving them another opportunity to bond with their loved ones by at least understanding two thirds of the conversation would give them a new perspective about their future. I’m thrilled about the possibilities presented with this new technology and I’m sure that core software developers could work in an interface friendly enough to help with this situation
